Giving Thanks...For Peace...Easter Dinner Prayer
Three Prayers for Easter - The heart of Christianity is Easter. Christmas gets alot of publicity with the birth of the Savior. It's the holiday that is centered around a holy baby. But if it weren't for Easter, Christmas would just be about a tree. Easter is the day we celebrate the resurrection of a crucified Jesus. Christians all over the world celebrate Easter in faith that one day, because of Jesus' resurrection, we too will rise again. This is the message of Easter. Jesus the Son of God, came to earth to offer his perfect life as a sacrifice for the sin of the entire world. He was crucified by the world that rejected him but his sacrifice was accepted by His Father none the less. Three days after His resurrection, Jesus Christ rose from the dead and walked among the people in Jerusalem. He left us a message of hope and reconciliation with God, His Father. Read these Christian Easter prayers on Resurrection day. Or use them at Easter dinner. These are three basic prayers any Christian can use.
Prayer of Thanks: Dear Father, thank You for the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus. Thank You for sending Him as a sacrifice for our sins. We accept the sacrifice of Your Son and ask You to forgive us, forgive our families, and our nation. We are thankful for this day we call Easter. We are thankful that one day we will be reconciled with loved ones who have gone on before us. We are thankful that we have Your promise of forgiveness and eternal life. Thank You, Heavenly Father. Amen.
Prayer for Peace: Dear Father, we are thankful for Easter. Thank You that You sent Your Son, the Prince of Peace to the earth. We pray for peace today, Heavenly Father. We ask for peace, not the peace the world gives us, but Your peace. Let Your peace invade the earth and the hearts of all men. Let Your peace be involved in every area of our lives. Let your peace reign in our homes, at our workplaces, in every area of our lives. Thank you for peace, Father. Amen.
Easter Dinner Prayer: Dear Lord, bless our food on this special day. Let it bring nourishment to our bodies as You have nourished our spirits. Today, Heavenly Father as we enjoy our meal we first take the time to forgive all those who may have hurt us or sinned against us. Just as You showed grace and mercy to the world, we also show grow and mercy to everyone in our loves. Thank You Father for this time together. Amen.
