My Dear People and Friends of St. Bride,

This past Sunday, May 15, 2016 – The Sunday Offering totaled a startling $577.00. That was over an $800.00 drop from the week before. Please try to make up for the weeks you may have missed.  Thank you to all those who share so faithfully each week!  Any increase will be greatly appreciated!

118 people attended the Spring Luncheon.  100 of the 50/50 Raffle Tickets had been sold by 1:30 PM last Sunday!  Thank you!  The winners of the $2500.00 were Ned and Nancy (Lynch) Ryan who come over from Dayton, Ohio each year for the Luncheon. The Baker’s Raffle Table netted $495.00; the Wine Toss $165.00 and the Silent Auction $1500.00.  Top winners in the Silent Auction were the two sets of White Sox Tickets that sold for nearly $400.00, and Lunch with Fr. Bob at Miller’s Pub, which sold for $500.00. Your generosity is overwhelming.  We had wonderful afternoon of feasting, music and socializing. More financial details next week!  Mark your calendar for MAY 21st, 2017.  Don’t say we didn’t let you know ahead of time!

Thanks for listening and God Bless your ongoing generosity! Fr. Bob Roll

May 22, 2016 - The Most Holy Trinity Sunday

“But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth...” John 16:13

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to help us know and live the truth.  To prepare ourselves, we need to open our hearts to receive this gift before we can give it.  Develop a daily prayer routine to ask the Holy Spirit to help guide our thoughts and actions.

Prayer To The Holy Trinity

O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages and indifferent by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of the poor sinners.  We make this prayer through Christ our Lord!  Amen.

Pray for Peace in the World and Our City!
