Sister Mary Clare (Miriam) Mracek, devoted member of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary for 82 years, died December 21, 2014, while residing at Resurrection Life Center in Chicago. Throughout her 100 years of life, Sister Mary Clare loved English literature, cosmology and poetry. Her ministry took her to Canada, Phoenix, Sacramento and Chicago. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert Peter and Linnie (Moore) Mracek and her brother Albert Francis (Hazel Ann Rice) Mracek. She is remembered fondly by her nieces and nephew and their families living in the southwest: Miriam (Mracek) Addison, Ann (Mracek) Grosser, Donna (Mracek) Kenly and James Mracek. Visitation on Monday 12/29, at Loretto Convent, 1600 Somerset Lane in Wheaton, IL, 60189, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral liturgy. Burial will follow immediately at St. Michael's Cemetery in Wheaton. Donations to the IBVM Office of Development at Loretto Convent will be greatly appreciated.
